The golf course, voted South Africa's best new course in 1999, is another Matkovich design, rated by many as his finest. Built on an undulating piece of land next to the Bot River lagoon, the course is a tough test off the back markers and features superb scenic views. Both nines are manicured to perfection. The feature of the layout is the way in which the closing holes on both nines run dramatically down to the wide blue waters of the lagoon, and then shape themselves along the shoreline in a dramatic climax.

The first nine ends with a short par 4, with a green that is temptingly reachable with a driver if you want to take a short cut across the lagoon. The back nine has as its 17th hole a stunning par 3 on the edge of the water, followed by a par 5 that has risk and reward written all over it.
