Stellenbosch Golf Club is in the heart of the winelands, and mountanous scenery, with some holes bordering the wineyards, this is a parkland layout that is a delight to play, with large trees framing the holes. Holes don't came much tighter than the uphill par 5 14th with it's green hidden among the trees around the corner of a dogleg.

The university town of Stellenbosch is popular with tourist because of it's famous wine route. The golf club, played host to the SA Open in 1999 and several holes border neigbouring wineyards.

Early morning play is advised in the hight of summer, as temperatures can reach 40 degrees celsius.
